Great return performance, and great finish from Alexander Povetkin!
Manuel Charr is a good fighter, he tried his best in this fight, he didn't well, did some good work with the jab, landed a few fantastic uppercuts, but in most of the rounds, it was just Povetkin simply getting the better of him, landing more, landing harder, and he was able to hurt Charr, I don't think Charr ever really hurt Povetkin, although he hit him with a lot of leather, probably landed 30% of the punches which were landed by either guy in the fight though. The pace was really high in this fight, it was a very positive fight, that is advantage with these smaller heavyweights, they can sustain a higher punch output that these 6'7 guys, who are 260 lbs or more. I think Povetkin has always been underrated, he got outclassed by Klitschko, but apart from that, he has only ever impressed in his career, it is a shame he wasn't in more big fights, shame he didn't get more recognition that he got, and of course, it is a shame he was proven to be a drugs cheat, that is very disappointing.
