Prediction,

Kownacki is 18-0, he might still be improving, he has 78% KOs, he is somewhat untested, but at world level, I don't know if he is good, I don't think he's top 10. Kownacki did well to stop Artur Szpilka in 4 rounds, but in his last fight, he struggled against Charles Martin, won close, but it was a very competitive fight, he tired after 6 rounds, and Martin was able to rally late, both fighters were hurt, and although you can believe Martin was better in that fight than he was against Joshua, given how hopeless he was against Joshua, but still, Charles Martin is not good, he is definitely not top 30, so when you break dowm Kownacki as a world level fighter, what does it say about him that he won but won close against Martin?

I think Washington is slightly underrated, he was a late starter, he doesn't do anything particularly impressive, not a puncher, but he is not a bum at any level, and when it comes to fighting anyone below the top 15, he is not an easy opponent, because he is a solid fundamental fighter, good output, doesn't do anything stupid, and he is not bad, gave Wilder problems. Washington has two stoppage losses, didn't take a bad beating either time, but was dropped, hurt bad against Wilder and stopped legitimately, and against Miller, he took a thumping, in a fight that became one sided after Miller had worn him down. Washington is 36, he is not really old for a heavyweight, but with the two losses, he is likely to be well past his best, he did fight 7-8 months ago, won a 10 round UD against John Wesley Nofire, so he isn't coming off a layoff, and he has that win, but confidence wise, in terms of mentality, it is hard to see him being at his best, although he's better than Martin, and he might go into the fight with the realistic attitude that he will win not because he is a good world level fighter but because Kownacki isn't either.

Kownacki should be out to make a statement here, a standout KO would raise his stock, but against Martin, I think he tried too hard to get the stoppage, and his performance suffered because of it, so he will have to be smart, set Washington up.

I think Kownacki will stop Washington, I wouldn't be surprised if it went the distance, but I think Kownacki will get the stoppage, maybe in 8 rounds.

Great performance from Kownacki!
He isn't that much of a puncher, but he is relentless, has enough power to do damage, is a good pressure fighter, has volume, has the mentality of a good aggressive fighter, not a great defensive fighter, not technically great, but great volume.

I think Kownacki vs Breazeale as an eliminator would be great to see, both are with PBC, both are not too far from but not just 1 fight away from a world title shot, would be a good match up, great fight.
